San Angelo Texas Exes,

It's that time of the year again, Texas Football!  Hook 'em!  Let's hope and pray for a great season!

First, when you see Mark McLaughlin, please give him a big congratulations!  He is being presented with the Texas Exes Distinguished Alumnus Award on September 28th. Mark McLaughlin of San Angelo, BBA 1952, LLB 1954, is a successful rancher, banker, and attorney. 

Recipients are chosen by a special Texas Exes committee from nominations submitted by alumni and other members of the university community. The Distinguished Alumnus Award is the highest alumni award of The University of Texas at Austin.

It is also that time of year for our speaker series to get under way. This year we will be meeting on the second Thursday of the month, rather than the second Tuesday.  Bernay Sheffield is again gracious enough to host our speaker series.  Thanks Bernay!  You and your staff always do a great job of making us feel at home, and the food is always great.
